How much do you know about Republic TV? Republic TV is an English Indian News Channel. It’s a free-to-air TV Channel. Arnab Goswami and Rajeev Chandrasekhar are the co-founders of this channel. They launched this channel on 6 May 2017. Arnab Goswami was the editor-in-chief in Times Now. Rajeev Chandrasekhar was an independent legislator of the NDA. But later he joined BJP. Initially, Rajeev gave the capital at this venture by his company Asianet News. This channel has got negative criticism and reviews. And it’s also accused of reporting biased news in favour of BJP party, publishing fake news and commenting as the anti-Muslims and many more accusations were raised against Republic TV.
History of the Republic TV:
Let’s know about Republic TV. Arnab Goswami worked as the editor-in-chief in Times Now. But lack of freedom and newsroom politics he faced some editorial differences. After that, He resigned on 1 November 2016. On 16th December in the same year, he announced about Republic. Later, Subramanian Swamy raised a complaint about this name and name was changed to Republic TV. Republic TV is the first independent media in India. Initially, Asianet Company funded this channel which is owned by Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Later, Rajeev Chandrasekhar resigned as he joined BJP officially April 2018. Then Arnab Goswami bought Asianet’s shares in May 2019.
Republic TV Online:
At first, It broadcasted through DTH services and cable tv operators. And it was also available in mobile platforms such as Jiotv and Hotstar. It’s Hindi channel Republic Bharat was launched on On 2 February 2019. Its official website is www.republicworld.com.
